About this property

Welcome to Paradise Bay Resort

Set along the tranquil waters of Kāneʻohe Bay in a quiet residential neighborhood, Paradise Bay Resort offers a low-key bayside retreat. The resort features island-influenced suites and cottages, each equipped with kitchens and air conditioning, making it well-suited for extended stays. Facilities include an outdoor pool, hot tub, fitness center, and complimentary Wi-Fi and parking. It also accommodates pets and children, although breakfast and airport shuttle services are not provided.

The layout of the property is somewhat spread out, with some rooms located across the street from the main building, which guests should consider when booking. While accommodations have been updated, reviews note that some rooms may feel dated or compact, with occasional maintenance issues such as the absence of elevators and varying noise from air conditioning units. Overall cleanliness and upkeep receive positive mentions, alongside thoughtful amenities like natural toiletries and laundry facilities.

Opportunities for outdoor activities are a highlight here, with easy access to kayaking, paddleboarding, and snorkeling directly from the resort. Yoga sessions take place on the dock, and the scenic surroundings often offer encounters with local wildlife such as sea turtles. The location provides a peaceful atmosphere away from the busier resort areas, yet is still within reasonable driving distance of Kaneohe town and Kailua Beach.

Visitors seeking a relaxed and mindful stay in a more residential and natural setting may appreciate what Paradise Bay Resort offers. The combination of access to nature-based activities and a quieter environment appeals to those wanting to avoid the hustle of larger resorts while still enjoying essential conveniences. Renting a car is advisable to explore the nearby attractions like Kualoa Ranch and the Byodo-In Temple.

The views are amazing and kayaking is super fun. The place is super clean and looks well maintained. The only weird thing is the arraignment of the rooms, my room was across the street of the main building. But we enjoy our stay there and being able to bring our puppy it’s a plus. We definitely want to go back.

We were greeted and our unit was ready for us. They left a bottle of wine for us to celebrate my birthday. It was a quiet resort perfect for escaping the chaos of the bigger resorts in the big island. The amenities were wonderful. We kayaked, took the boat trip with captain Dawn and Jelly, enjoyed uncle Dan and fresh warm banana read every morning. Our 5 day, 6 night stay was awesome and felt too short! Thank you for making our family vacation special!

What a gem of a luxury holistic health retreat without breaking the bank! This has been the only hotel I've EVER stayed at that provides natural soaps, shampoos, and conditioners (EO brand) - kudos to this alone and sustainable utensils, plates, and RO water in their scenic overlook breakfast nook! Guests were mindful, respectful, and quiet. It was so nice to enjoy the hot tub/pool in peace without any screaming kids or rowdy teenagers. In fact, if you want to be away from the Honolulu/Waikiki hustle and bustle, stay here!!! It's a chill drive to get to the North Shore or inward on the island from Paradise Bay Resort. We stayed in a mountain suite room: kitchen, lanai, relaxing area, AC, and a spa-like slate-walled shower - beautiful volcano and ocean view. They had yoga every morning (m-f) at 8am on the dock. One of my favorite memories was kayaking over the coral reefs with sea turtles swimming around us. (To reserve a free kayak, call the front desk - don't go by the internal reservation app). Resort is located in a local neighborhood, so don't let that fool you when driving in. We felt completely safe and had our own parking. Oh yes - they have a coin-operated washer and dryer in the laundry room. So thankful for this! Cute chickens/roosters running around eating avocados from a local grove. That was cute. Something to keep in mind: There are stairs around the resort (no elevator), so if you have trouble with stairs, see if you can stay in a room toward the upper grounds.

We had a great time!!!! We came to visit some of my girlfriends family and it was my first time to Hawaii. I knew the resort was located in a neighborhood, but it still threw me off a little when we pulled onto the street. The resort was very clean and beautiful! According to some of the locals around the area the place that used to be there before the resort, wasn't so great. They have done a great job with cleaning it up and renovating. All of the staff was very friendly and helpful including Marissa who was at the front desk most days when we were out and about, and I believe his name was Keith, maintenance guy, super nice. The room was decent, we had a one bedroom suite with a small kitchenette. It was a small quaint room but really all we needed because we were out all day most days enjoying the beauty of the island. You could tell the rooms were pretty old but had been renovated recently. We did lose power a couple times due to weather and once because the room next door to us tripped a breaker. Luckily, they realized it before it got to hot in our room because it tripped the outlet the A/C was on. I did report this incident to the front desk, and they were nice enough to give us a fan to suffice until they could get into the adjoining room to get the breaker fixed. After I reported the issue it wasn't long and they had it fixed. The paddle boards that we used at the resort came in clutch as we paddled out to the reef and did some snorkling instead of having to pay the high price for a snorkel trip we just went right out behind the resort and saw 10-12 sea turtles and a lot of other tropical type reef fish. The overall experience was amazing, and I would definitely refer this resort to a friend or family member. I will also definitely be back myself. Thank you to all the staff at Paradise Bay Resort, yall made our stay and vacation a very enjoyable experience!

The location is in a quiet, residential neighborhood right by the water. The resort is beautiful but the room was cramped and dated, with stain marks in the shower area and loud window AC. The living area had no fan or air conditioning and the door lacked a screen so we couldn’t leave the door open to get some fresh air, since there are a lot of bugs around due to the proximity to the bay. Also, they don’t have a backup power generator if the lights go off. There is no soundproofing between rooms and we would hear the TV running in the two adjoining unit. I would love to come back again but would choose a bigger room with the view of the bay.

I’m almost hesitant to post a review, because this is such an amazing hidden gem. But the staff works so hard to make it wonderful that I have to tell everyone! The place is hidden away in a quiet residential neighborhood (well, the jungle fowl are noisy!) and is right on the water. It has floating docks with lounge chairs, a very nice pool and hot tub, and they provide kayaks, snorkeling gear, and paddle boards that you can sign up for and then use right from the dock. The views are amazing, the rooms are great, and every one feels like it is by itself despite the large number of rooms. The layout is very clever and the place is filled with little touches that make it very special. I can’t recommend it enough!

My wife and I spent a couple nights here on our honeymoon. I wish we could have stayed a little longer because the resort was amazing! The staff was extremely kind and upgraded us upon arrival. The view of the Ocean and mountains from this location is unbelievable! We really enjoyed the pool area. But I think what really makes this resort stand out is that because of the location, you’re immersed with the locals, which is an amazing experience! I do recommend renting a car if you’re staying here, because it’ll make the experience of trying local foods and seeing local sites a lot easier.

Thank you Kevin and the friendly staff for accommodating our late check in, greeting us warmly every day and an easy checkout process. As per some of the reviews our room could have used some upgrading, however it was clean and comfortable. Loved the coffee and banana bread every morning.
